Job Description

Under general supervision, the primary duties of the Accounting Clerk will be:

  • Assist accounting staff with accounts receivable or accounts payable functions, ie, generating invoices and statements, daily deposit, daily close out and other miscellaneous duties
  • Assist on projects for various supervisors and/or employees
  • Keep the vault filing cabinets current, in order, and not over full
  • Stock office machines as needed
  • Function in a busy and noisy environment
  • Continually increase knowledge of all office procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

COVER FOR RECEPTIONIST when necessary consisting of the following duties:

  • Answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner
  • Take messages and see that messages are delivered
  • Route calls to proper individual
  • Do not leave customer on hold for more than 20 seconds without following up on call
  • Monitor the availability of co-workers
  • Miscellaneous receptionist duties

The Accounting Clerk will report directly to the Controller.

Experience:

  • Accounts Payable: 1 year (Preferred)
