PrideStaff currently has a great opportunity available for a Logistics Specialist for a West Palm Beach client on a temp to hire basis. Ideal candidate will have proficient 2+ years of transportation/logistic experience, proficient in MS Excel and have worked in a TMS system. In this position you will support the continued growth and success by assisting to insure that produce shipments are loaded, shipped and delivered to members’ distribution facilities.
- Support a supply manager with day-to-day tasks
- Execute daily process of tracking, arrival checking and status reporting
- Assist with the development, implementation and coordination of company’s offices shipments
- Track and report resulting savings and on time deliveries
- Manage carrier performance issues and problem resolution; manage scorecards to include on-time, pickup, delivery and claims
- Experience with FOB shipping
- At least 3-5 years transportation experience with demonstrated knowledge in domestic shipments or an Associate’s Degree in a related field; Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred
- Proficient in MS Excel and Outlook
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing work environment and work in cross-functional teams.
- Strong customer focused with close attention to detail.
- Participate in a 3 week rotation providing after-hours and weekend on call support (upon hire only); company will provide cell phone and laptop
