JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is searching for a self-motivated, highly driven individual to join our fast- paced team environment. The Loan Documentation Specialist will perform critical tasks to deliver a high level of customer service to meet the needs of our member owners. This position reports directly to the Loan Documentation Manager and responsibilities will include:

Loan Documentation

  1. Prepares a variety of legal documents including loan documents and secondary documents for standard and complex agricultural loans.

  2. Contributes to the completion of lending and loan review processes for adherence to established Association lending policies and procedures.

  3. Takes proactive action to address potential issues, needs, updates, and escalates appropriately.

  4. Works closely with internal and external customers to respond to customers’ requests, provide status updates and clarify details of transactions.

  5. Creates, maintains and manages file folders. Preparing transaction checklists, updates and managing any outstanding items throughout the documentation and closing process.

  6. Prepares correspondence, banking forms, and documents for compliance, accuracy, and consistency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Intermediate knowledge of loan documentation and banking related terms and concepts.  Working knowledge of credit related practices, accounting systems and loan structures.

  2. Demonstrated ability to get results in a team setting, and in working with others in various functions and disciplines. These abilities must include strong customer service skills; capable of consistently delivering results that focus on identified internal and external customer needs.

  3. Outstanding customer service skills to promote and support a service-oriented culture.

  4. Effective  written  and  verbal  communication  skills to  interpret and/or  discuss technical or  sensitive information with internal and external customers.

  5. Ability to plan workload and prioritize business needs effectively.

  6. Strong work ethics and commitment to take ownership of responsibilities, work independently, and seek guidance when appropriate.

  7. Demonstrate the ability to perform accurately and timely within established deadlines; attention to detail is critical.

  8. Functional skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate degree in agriculture business, business, finance, accounting, or a related field.

  2. Minimum four years loan documentation or related experience.  Agricultural experienced preferred.

  3. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.

  4. Notary preferred.
